Help & Support

How to get help and answers to common questions

⚠ Important: We do not restore accounts. If you lose both your TOTP authenticator and all recovery codes, your account is permanently inaccessible. Store your recovery codes in a safe place.
Contact Support

Support is available exclusively via Matrix chat:

Matrix ID: @support:saymsg.com (homeserver: matrix.saymsg.com)

You can message us from Element, FluffyChat, or any Matrix client.

How Matrix works
  • Your identity. Every user has a unique Matrix ID like @username:saymsg.com. It works like an email address — you can share it so others can reach you.
  • Direct messages. Open Element or FluffyChat, tap New Direct Message, and enter the other person's Matrix ID (e.g. @alice:saymsg.com).
  • Rooms. Rooms are group chats. You can create a room for a project or team, or join an existing one by its address (e.g. #general:saymsg.com).
  • Federation. Matrix is decentralised — you can message anyone on any Matrix server. If someone's ID ends with a different domain (e.g. @bob:matrix.org), you can still chat with them.
Frequently Asked Questions

Open Element or FluffyChat, choose Sign in, and set the homeserver to matrix.saymsg.com. Enter your SayMsg username and password. You can also use @yourusername:saymsg.com as your Matrix ID directly.

Go to Reset Password. You can verify your identity using either your TOTP authenticator code or one of your recovery codes.

No. If both your TOTP authenticator and all recovery codes are lost, your account cannot be recovered. This is by design — we have no backdoor access to your credentials.

Your Matrix ID is @yourusername:saymsg.com. You can find it in your dashboard.

SayMsg is a standard Matrix homeserver — any Matrix-compatible client works. Popular choices include Element (web, desktop, mobile) and FluffyChat (mobile). Set the homeserver to matrix.saymsg.com.
